Adobe Premiere - Intermediate

Course Description: This one day course will benefit those who already possess the basics of Adobe Premiere Pro and would like a more intensive understanding of motion graphic editing.

During the course we will look one-step beyond the simple cutting tools and focus on a numer of features within the software,including:  

Project settings



Multicam editing



Audio mixing

Graphics and text  

Dynamic linking - replacing clips with After Effects compositions

A look at scopes and basic grading

File managment

Exporting Audio OMF files for sound mix

Export settings for Broadcast, Web (Vimeo / You Tube etc)

After this course you will;

Be able to complet a film to a professinal technical standard

Be able to export the film to multiple platforms

Manage your files and learn how to recover media.

This course is made up of tutor led practical exercises and discussions aroung post production.  

Please Note: BECTU is running CS6 - there are a number of mino differences between this and the current version CC. Required: Basic experience in Adobe Premiere

Tutor: Richard Hughes

Biog: With over ten years experience in broadcast and post-production, Richard has developed a wide range of skills including offline/online, editing, grading, sound mixing and compositing. Credits include BBC, Five, Sony, History and Discovery DVD. He has an MA in Interactive Digital Media and is experienced in a variety of formats and platforms including: web, mobile, TV and DVD platforms. In addition to his broadcast work he runs the post production course, part time, at Ravensbourne. He has also facilitated courses for broadcast freelancers at BECTU for 5 years, and as guest speaker at Video Expo on 'The Craft of Editing'. He trained as one of the first FCP trainers in the UK at Apple HQ and is presently an accredited professional.
