The Freelance Organising course is specifically designed for freelance members who want to be active within BECTU. This course deals with three core areas of union activity - communicating, organising and negotiating.
During the day we look at how to run a meeting effectively and use BECTU's committee structure to drive issues raised by freelance members.
The ability to set up branch by-laws effectively, will help a branch to run smoothly and we look at how to do this.
We also look at how to recruit and organise other freelance workers in your changing workplaces.
Who should attend this course?
Any freelance member who wishes to become active, wants to organise their grade or department and in particular if you sit on a freelance branch committee. This course is aimed primarily at those who work within the London Production Division and Regional Production Division. Please check you are eligible before booking your place.
