BECTU is offering a series of introductory 2 and 3 day courses to address the lack of training for professional hair & make-up artists working in film & TV with BAME make-up and hair. These modules have been created for industry professionals to enhance their skills in Black, Asian & minority ethnic hair & make-up techniques when working with BAME performers; throughout all modules there will be the opportunity to practice on live models with different ethnicities. Both models and course delegates will have the opportunity to learn from each other across the seven days training.

These modularised courses will be held at the BECTU Sector Office and have been developed as a partnership between Equity and BECTU, with support from the Union Learning Fund.

NB: If you are not a BECTU member & would like to join it will make the course considerably cheaper, plus you will gain all the additional benefits of being a BECTU member. To find out more and join: www.bectu.org.uk/join

These courses may be eligible for a ScreenSkills bursary from either the HETV Fund, Film Fund or TV Diversity Fund. To apply or for more information on individaul bursaries please apply directly to ScreenSkills and not BECTU.
