Northern Training Schedule 2019
We are pleased to announce our Northern Training Programme until December 2019 with some of our core courses for members across the North.
To kick start the year, we are now ready to deliver on the newly established and accredited NA7909 for Electrical Systems. This training supersedes the BS7909, and leads to a formal City and Guilds Qualification. For those who already have a BS7909, you can convert to the C&G, by doing the one day course. For those new to the training, the three-day course is in full. We are working in partnership with NAPIT and Premier Training, with James Eade, who has been at the centre of their development, delivering the training.
Full details of the 3-day programme can be found on our website here

Mental Health First Aid
Over the coming period, I will be setting up a Mental Health First Aid course for Freelance in Manchester, BECTU members are actively encouraged to make the most of this course, over two days, to support their own development, but also to help with others you may crew with during difficult times, who may need some support. This year, I will also be delivering half day awareness raising course. Keep posted for dates and locations.
I will be looking to do another Chaperone training date later in the year in the North, keep posted for the date.
IAG and One to One Support
Finally, as ever, I am still delivering one to one sessions, for anyone wanting advice or support around training, development, career or wellbeing, and will re-instigate my drop-in days for bookings soon. I plan to try and do one a quarter at least, outside of direct requests from members. If you have any other training requirements, or ideas for training programmes.
