STEPPING-UP

Bespoke solutions to address areas of evidenced skills shortage in Scotland.

Background

Since its inception in 2013, Stepping-Up has created opportunities for established craft, technical and production crew members gain the skills, experience and confidence necessary to move up to the next professional level.

Through combinations of placements, mentoring and bespoke training courses, the programme has supported individuals to ‘step-up’ in a variety of roles including Camera Operator, Production Manager, Editor, 1st Assistant Director and Script Editor.

In 2014, Stepping Up on Screen produced a short film as a training opportunity which enabled practitioners to fully experience their Stepping-Up role and showcase their talents.
