BECTU Base provides a free of charge point of contact for both individuals and organisations who want to know more about the various roles in scripted film and television. If you have a query about getting into the industry, would like to find out more about a specific role, or are looking for some guidance on your next steps, drop us a line at

  • Monthly 1-2-1 sessions run on the first Tuesday of every month for CV feedback and advice on next steps. Email to book your free advice session.
  • Our BECTU Vision short courses cover a variety of topics some of which can be helpful for those at the start of their career. Most specifically our annual Hit the Ground Running intensive and interactive training courses focus on the role of the runner. 
  • Throughout the year our peer and industry networking opportunities provide a relaxed and supported environment for making fruitful connections.
  • We regularly arrange and contribute to a range of events such as panel discussions, presentations, careers stalls, CV workshops,  round tables and training course inductions at colleges, universities, film festivals and for both community and industry organisations.
