Union Learning Projects are funded to support freelance skills, employability and professional development & training. They are time limited and have specific objectives; funding varies from project to project.
On this page you will find the core programme for freelance vocational courses to be run at BECTU head office. New and additional courses will be added throughout the year.
The Creative Industries Safety Passport is an IOSH accredited 1-day safety course designed by BECTU to help our members work safely and be able to prove their competence.
We work with Lazarus Training to offer a one day first aid in the office and studio certificate valid for three years.
The new City - Guilds NA7909(3) is an accredited training program that replaces the old Skillset Certificate in Temporary Electrical Systems (SCiTES).
We offer a series of editing courses in our learning centre at BECTU Head Office including Adobe Photoshop & Movie Magic Scheduling.
For those who have already completed the Creative Skillset course and hold a copy of their certificate. It is a practical one-day assessment as the existing Skillset certificate counts as accredited prior learning.
