What future the media in Wales?

David Donovan, BECTU's national official for Wales, will be speaking at the Chapter Arts Complex in Cardiff on Saturday 17 April, as part of the NUJ Wales special conference - What future for the media in Wales?

Other speakers include Bob Franklin, Cardiff University School of Journalism, Tom O'Malley, Aberystwyth University and Jeremy Dear, NUJ general secretary. 

The event, which runs from 13.30 - 17.30 hours, asks whether there is a crisis in the Welsh media, what the politicans' responses are (party representatives will discuss their media policies) and the media unions will also be setting our their views. 

The event is open to all media workers, to academics, students, to representatives from the trade union movement and to political representatives interested in the future of the media in Wales.
