Agreement on future redundancy terms and the cost of late night and early morning transport remains outstanding between BECTU and Red Bee Media.
However, partial agreement on changes to terms was reached in January 2010.
With the lifting of the threat of an industrial action ballot before Christmas, talks continued to produce agreement on new company policies covering:
- annual leave
- substance abuse
- ill health
- contracts of employment
- sick pay
- grievance and appeals
- performance and discipline.
The proposed changes were overwelmingly accepted by BECTU members in a consultative ballot which reported on 27 January. 97% of voting members agreed to the changes.
Talks resumed on redundancy terms and the cost of late and early morning transport on 1 February. Members will be updated again shortly.
