Cinema staff, not covered by a collective bargaining agreement, can join BECTU for just £5.99 per month in 2010.
The offer is designed to strengthen and extend the union's support for cinema staff throughout the UK.
BECTU provides support for individual members on the range of employment issues; members are also entitled to take advantage of a range of additional benefits and services which will be boosted in 2010 with a new package of member discounts to be known as BECTU Plus.

The union is known for its established relationship with the Apollo, Cineworld and Odeon chains where it has bargaining rights for projectionists at some sites. The union's recognition agreements provide for negotiations on pay and other conditions of employment.
BECTU is also behind an important initiative focussed on redefining the role of the projectionist in the digital age.
The union looks forward to welcoming more members into BECTU from the established and newer chains and from the independent operators. The union is keen, not only to provide individual support, but to help staff to organise to represent their interests to management. Contact us for more information.
