News that GMTV is now fully owned by ITV plc gives staff there the opportunity to be better represented, says BECTU.

BECTU has supported members at the broadcaster over many years on an individual basis, but ITV's full ownership now offers GMTV staff the chance to secure the same rights of representation as their ITV colleagues.

BECTU advises ITV staff up and down the country and is in regular negotiations at local and national level about pay, pensions, health and safety and training, just some of the issues which affect employees.

Of course, ITV has downsized substantially in recent years and BECTU has provided support and counsel to members throughout several redundancy exercises.

BECTU also engages with ITV management on behalf of its sizeable freelance workforce.

GMTV staff are invited to contact us for more information or to visit the Join BECTU page.
