Angela Thomas, a former member of the FAA branch who died suddenly this summer, is to be remembered at a memorial gathering at BBC Elstree Studios on Friday 27 November.
This celebration of Angela's life is taking place courtesy of BBC Elstree's management working in cooperation with BECTU.
All contributors to the Angela Thomas Memorial Fund are invited to attend but are kindly requested to contact Spencer MacDonald, national official, to confirm their attendance. Site security arrangements will be assisted if those who plan to take part give advance notification. Contact by email would be appreciated.
The occasion will see the unveiling in the studio grounds of a specially commissioned bench. This permanent memorial has been made possible by the generosity of contributors to the fund established in Angela's name.
The BBC Club will be open from 17.30 - 21.00 to accomodate guests; refreshments can be purchased. The bench will be unveiled and tributes to Angela will be heard from 19.00 - 19.30 hours.
The BBC's Elstree Studios are located at Clarendon Road, Borehamwood, Herts WD6 1FJ.
The Angela Thomas Memorial Fund is now closed, however friends who would like to remember Angela with a charitable donation are invited to use this form to donate to her favourite charity the Red Cross.
