BECTU issued the following statement in response to the announcement on 3 November that Live Nation venues have been sold to the Ambassador Theatre Group.
Willy Donaghy, supervisory official of BECTU’s Arts and Entertainment division, said:
“BECTU is pleased for members that the uncertainty and speculation surrounding the sale of Live Nation have finally ended. The union does not envisage any problems with the acquisition by ATG of the Live Nation circuit.
“BECTU enjoys good relations with ATG theatres already covered by the collective agreements which operate in London’s West End and in the nations and regions. We hope that the newly expanded company will continue to flourish to the benefit of all parties.”
