Birmingham's Drum hosts diversity event

Black and minority ethnic workers across the media and entertainment sectors are invited to take part in an event at Birmingham's The Drum.

The Drum, the national centre for Black British arts and culture, is set to bring together the community of workers represented by BECTU, Equity, the Musicians' Union, the NUJ, the Professional Footballers Association and the Writers Guild, at a networking event on Thursday 24 September from 18.30 hours.

The event is open to BME workers across the Midlands. Union members and those yet to join are all welcome. To ensure you have programme details and to book your place email us

The Drum Arts Centre is located at 144 Potters Lane, Aston, Birmingham, B6 4UU.

The event will feature discussion on the concerns of BME members across the sector and will include time for questions, refreshments and music. Employers will also be represented at the event and members are encouraged to bring interested colleagues.
