Freelancers' Fair 2018: sponsors and exhibitors

12 April 2018

Six industry sponsors and a host of exhibitors are backing BECTU's Freelancers' Fair on Friday 27 April in London.

Participants from across film and television will be treated to a great mix of seminars and workshops. They can also opt for one-to-one advice sessions with some of the event's sponsors and will have easy access to dozens of exhibitors and a technical area and VR suite to try out new kit.

Sponsorship this year comes from six organisations:

All our sponsors, except for Pinewood, will be taking part on the day and will be available for one to one advice in the event's exhibition.
More than 25 exhibitors will be taking part this year with ARRI and Inition providing, respectively, the technical area and VR suite.

Enthusiasm for the day

Euroscript are looking forward to welcoming visitors:
"Do visit Euroscript's Drop-In Desk in the exhibition to get one-to-one on-the-spot script/story idea feedback and industry advice from one of our friendly professional script consultants. Learn about our practical courses, consultancy services, script development workshops, industry events and about special BECTU member discounts for Euroscript's development workshops/courses at BECTU."

PG Mutual introduce themselves:
"PG Mutual is a not-for-profit membership organisation that offers a tailored income protection plan which pays you a regular income if you cannot work due to illness or injury. The plan also includes an investment element which pays out at maturity of your policy and offers exclusive member benefits."

Edinburgh TV Festival Talent Schemes will be on hand too:
"The Edinburgh TV Festival runs two free talent schemes. Ones to Watch is their professional development scheme, open to anyone with 3+ years' experience in any area of the industry. They'll be on hand to talk about Ones to Watch and offer coaching on how to put togehter the best possible application for the scheme."
Meet the International Moving Image Society:
"The International Moving Image Society is a community of over 4,000 members from across the film, TV, and gaming industry that seek to expand your skills, grow your network and lead you to become more employable. We offer our members opportunities to network, events throughout the year, screenings of films and projects and learn about all areas of the industry."

Visit the exhibition

"Our sponsors and exhibitors make a huge contribution to the day; visitors will be missing out if they don't spend time in the exhibition. There'll be good advice and insights aplenty," said Jane Perry, organising official.
