This regular event provides an important opportunity for women in BECTU to come together to discuss key issues, to learn from each other and to receive briefings on issues of the day.

The conference has been a launch pad for women in BECTU to further develop their skills as branch officials and to become more involved in BECTU at a number of levels.

Open to all women branch officials and to women who want to find out more about becoming active, invitations are usually circulated in late summer of each year.

A current pilot project focuses on mentoring for women in BECTU; this will be offered more widely in 2018.

If you are interested in becoming more involved with gender equality in BECTU please contact us. Also, if you use facebook we have a women's group where you can connect with other BECTU women and talk all things diversity/women in the workplace or related union stuff - let us know the email you use for facebook and we'll send you an invite.
