Brian Kelly is the BECTU Training Officer and is responsible for reps training and support, promotion of vocational training and the support of ULRs. He represents BECTU on numerous external boards and committees.
Brian has been a trade union activist, educator and official for over 30 years and has worked with many unions and federations in the UK and Europe.
Kate Elliott is the Union Learning Fund Project Manager with special responsibility for Arts & Entertainment, including ULRs and vocational workshops. She also heads the union's diversity work for gender equality.
Kate is a former Wardrobe Mistress having worked in the West End and internationally.
Yvonne Smith is a Learning Organiser, based in London with special responsibility for independent broadcasting ULRs and also runs the current programme of career devlopment courses at BECTU head office. She also runs audio-visual occasional masterclasses and events for members.
Yvonne was an active BECTU representative for many years, working as a subitler for Intelfax Ltd and RedBee Media and joined BECTU as a part-time project worker in 2005.
John Crumpton is a Learning Organiser, based in Manchester with special responsibility for Independent Broadcasting in the North of England.
John is a BAFTA award winning Sound Editor and freelance BECTU member. He joined in he late 1970's and has been an active member ever since holding several positions in the union, including North West Branch Chair for several years. He has a long history as a BECTU activist and understands the industry as well as anyone.

Sebastian Barnes is Learning Organiser, based in Birmingham, responsible for ULR’s in theatre & live music the Midlands.
Sebastian has worked in a variety of offstage technical roles in theatre since 1972, including stage, lighting, flying, props, construction, stage engineering, projection, exhibition, and management.
Sebastian has been a union member since the 1970's and a member of the BECTU National Training Committee since its early years. He has created and delivered various technical courses and local skills assessments since 1998 and is an active participant in the Skillscene qualification structure project.
Sebastian established the MOSC (Midlands Offstage Skills Consortium) in April 2007, has led this group since its beginning, and is now a MOSC director, leading development, seeking funding, promoting member recruitment in the Midlands.
Tracey Hunt is Brian's secretary - Tracey organises the running of the reps training programme, including recruitment and all associated admin. She also works to Andy Egan the union's Research Officer with responsibilty for health and safety.
Lesley Burt, is also Brian's secretary. Lesley is the admin power behind the Move on Up campaign and supports Yvonne's head office training programme by booking places and dealing with member's enquiries.
