New resources from Co-operatives UK

14 July 2010

Co-operatives UK has launched some new resources for people working in the creative sector who are interested in setting up a co-operative.

A new website - http://www.creatives.uk.coop/nbsp;- aimed at creative freelances has useful case studies and blogs.

In addition, a new guide Creative Co-operatives: A guide to starting a co-operative in the creative industries explains how to set up as a co-operative. Consult the guide here

A two minute film introduces people to what it means to be a co-operative.

BECTU is working with Co-operatives UK to devise a suitable co-operative model for the union's freelances several of whom receive a poor service from existing agencies. This project, known as Co-operative Cast and Crew, is led by national official, Spencer MacDonald and is part funded by the Union Modernisation Fund (phase 3).
