Organisers of the 2010 Edinburgh TV Festival have confirmed their full line-up.

The event, which is sponsored by the Media Guardian, brings together some 2000 delegates from across the industry. In a welcome move the Festival is loosening its corporate tie, and is offering more of a welcome to established TV personnel as well as to academics, freelances and students. Highlights in a packed programe which includes sessions with all of the channel controllers, including Jay Hunt and Janice Hadlow, will be BBC director general, Mark Thompson's keynote James McTaggart Memorial Lecture and acclaimed writer, Paul Abbott's Alternative McTaggart.
