4 June 2010
The entry deadline for the BECTU/DV Talent Short Film Competition is midnight today (Friday 4 June).
Film-makers who would like to enter a short film - up to five minutes long - which has been made collaboratively can access more information here on how to enter.

The prize is a place on one of DV Talent's short courses or a week's free kit hire. Equally valuable is the chance to have work critiqued by a panel of established film-makers including Benetta Adamson, Simon Berthon, James Hawes, Peter Nicholson and Marc Sigsworth.
Voting in the competition remains open until Wednesday 9 June when the final shortlist will be decided.
"Voting is easy and gives everyone an opportunity to be involved in this very interesting competition. There are some great entries which say much about the skills required for good film-making," commented Sharon Elliott, communications officer.
To vote, set up an account at http://vimeo.com/join, login and view and vote (by selecting 'like') on favoured entries at http://vimeo.com/groups/bectu
The competition is linked to a session - Ethical Film-making Explored - at the Freelancers' Fair on Friday 11 June where the best entries will be screened and discussed.
Networking, discussion and learning
Visitors to the Fair, which is designed for freelancers in film and tv, will join in a day of networking, discussion and learning at a great riverside venue, Savoy Place.
