FEU/unionlearn Digital Toolkit Programme Friday 5 March 2010 Manchester
Those of you who want to learn how to use social networking tools like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn (and those who want to know why) will be interested to learn that we still have a few places on the forthcoming 'Social Networking and Self-marketing' (please visit http://www.feutraining.org.uk/sns.php). Final Cut Pro - Introduction (2-day course) 8/9 March BECTU Mac Training Suite, Clapham, London Cost: £200
The aim of this two-day intensive course is to deliver a comprehensive introduction to editing techniques using Final Cut Pro. The course will allow both beginners and those with some editing experience to achieve a practical understanding of the post production process. The course will cover most basic editing functions. You will become familiar with the user interface, learn to capture footage, edit, add and manipulate sound, music, colouring, graphics, encoding and basic DVD authoring. The course is limited in numbers, allowing for plenty of individual help and advice.

The essential elements of what makes a powerful CV; style, format, content, . Participants will reassess their own CV, skills and focus throughout the course with one-to-one constructive feedback, and will aim to produce a version of your CV with wow factor by the end of the day. You will be asked to send in your current CV if you have one in advance of the course. Laptops will be used on this course.

Ruskin College, one of the UK’s leading providers of trade union education, is now recruiting for full-time and part-time students for the October 2010 intake of its highly successful masters degree in labour studies.
Each open day offers prospective students the opportunity to meet teaching staff and current students. Lunch and refreshments are provided. The open day run from 12-3pm.
The MA runs for 12 months full-time and 24 months part-time and international students will join with (mainly) UK part time trade union officers and activists to study 3 modules and produce a dissertation
