6 December 2009
Members employed by Johnson Controls International have voted by a huge majority to accept a two-year pay award.
In the consultative ballot which closed on 2 December members voted by a majority of 95 per cent to accept a payment of £300 for 2009 which will be included in this month's salary. This non-consolidated award will be followed in 2010 by a guaranteed minimum increase of 1 per cent.
The conclusion of this pay round followed lengthy discussions with JCI about its on-going contract with the BBC. BECTU recommended acceptance of the offer.
