New awards to celebrate the freelance

Production Base has launched a new competition to celebrate the freelance worker.

Nominations are invited for the following categories: Runner of the Year, Outstanding Freelancer of the Year and the Beyond the Call of Duty Award.

Nominations close on Friday 9 October and are welcome from anyone working in the TV, film and commercial production sectors.

Nominate your favourite freelance

The judging panel with include Jane Martinson, editor of MediaGuardian, and producer, Benetta Adamson. More names are due to be announced.

The award ceremony will take place at Production Base's Network Party on Thursday 12  November.

Commenting on the competition a spokesperson for Production Base said:

"We are inviting the industry to share the love and to big-up their favourite freelancer in the first ever Freelancer of the Year Awards."
