Siemens IT Solutions and Services, a major BBC contractor, has put 73 jobs at risk in a significant restructuring of its media departments.
The reorganisation affects staff in London and Maidenhead.

Consultations with BECTU have started.
The union's first task was to secure an extension of time to allow staff interested in voluntary severance sufficient opportunity to consider their position.
As a result, staff can now submit non-binding expressions of interest in voluntary redundancy up until Friday 21 August.
National official, Suresh Chawla, commented:
"Our position is very clear. We will oppose any compulsory redundancies and we have urged Siemens to mitigate this possibility by continuing to invite potential volunteers from both affected and unaffected categories.
"With the reduction sought being so high, every effort needs to be made to seek volunteers and pursue redeployment options."
Performance-related pay
On the separate issue of performance-related pay, proposals to introduce a scheme from 2010 are the subject of a consultative ballot which closes on Wednesday 26 August.
Members are invited to meet their officials, to discuss both the ballot and the threat to jobs, at drop-in sessions on Thursday 13 August in Maidenhead (Boardroom, 2nd Floor, 10.30 - 12.30) and on Monday 17 August in London (Stadium House, Meeting Room 1, 10:00 -12:00).
