The all-day career development and networking event, welcomes members and non-members. Entry is free to BECTU members; £10 to non-members.

A mix of seminars, workshops and the Fair exhibition promises something for everybody.

More than 25 exhibitors will take part this year; the majority are established training providers who come armed with the latest information and offers.

Also taking part next month will be accountancy firm, Hard Dowdy, Production Base, Skillset, and Thompsons Solicitors; all of these organisations are valuable sources of guidance.

Seminars and workshops

Once again, the union's Writers Producers and Directors branch have put together a varied and exciting seminar programme.

Getting Starting is designed to offer support in key areas to freelance workers; Directing the Camera will be a masterclass designed to reveal the skills associated with cinematography; Breaking Through: film-making which makes a difference, discusses the power of film-making to encourage social change; and Pitching  for Success provides an opportunity to hone pitching skills and to receive expert feedback.

More details about the contributors to this year's event will be released shortly.

Two workshops also feature this year and are certain to be oversubscribed. Please note. BBC Multi-platform Awareness  offers insight into production for the multi-platform era and in a return fixture, The Freelance Toolkit, delivers advice essential to a successful freelance career.
