"BECTU is pleased to be offering members, and prospective members, in Belfast the opportunity to come together to learn about developments in editing," commented Patrick Styles, national official.
Staff and freelances are welcome.
Editing workshop
A three hour workshop, which will run both in the morning and the afternoon, provides the centrepiece of the day's programme. Space will allow 150 people to attend each session.
The workshop - devised by event sponsors Soho Editors and dubbed A4 - will address the latest developments in editing looking at four key aspects: acquisition, assets, archive and air.
Visitors to the event will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Soho Editors and BECTU.
In addition, CVs can be 'healthchecked' at the event's CV clinic.
The day will conclude with a networking reception open to everyone who attends the event.
"We are obliged to the Grand Opera House, to Soho Editors and to the Northern Ireland Union Learning Fund for helping BECTU to make this event happen.
"We look forward to a constructive and enjoyable day," said Patrick Styles.
