BECTU is giving its backing to Fast Train North - the free training event for TV, radio and digital media freelancers which is certain to generate so much positive energy at MediaCityUK when it arrives there on Tuesday 20 November.

We invite members and future members to take a little time to visit the BECTU stand on the day. We'll be joined there by our friends from The Crewing Co who'll be delivering CV advice. Arrive early to book a slot ..... and don't forget your CV!

In addition, we're also supporting the seminar programme with a session on risk assessments.

Everyone knows they're essential to a successful production but how much more could be done - and with ease - to ensure that everyone works safely?

Join our learning organiser, John Crumpton, for Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Risk Assessment but Were Afraid to Ask! which will run from 12.15 - 13.45.

The session sits within a fantastic programme which champions the range of skills involved in creative media. The first batch of tickets was released on 30 October but don't despair, get ready for further ticket releases on 6 and 13 November.
