Officials supporting members at BBC Worldwide are to consult members on a pay offer for 2012/13.
At talks last week management tabled an offer of one per cent for staff on grades 4 to 1 subject to a minimum payment of £300. Managers also want to assign one per cent of the salary bill to a performance related discretionary bonus pot.
BECTU had submitted a claim of RPI plus two per cent subject to a minimum increase of £750.
The company rejected union proposals to transfer the one per cent bonus pot into the general pay pot and had to be persuaded to include a minimum increase of £300 in their proposals.
The branch is to consult members on a neutral basis and it is expected that management will also write to staff this week. The pay review date is 1 July.
Meanwhile colleagues employed directly by the BBC and BBC Studios and Post Production are challenging their one per cent pay offer and the BBC's attitude to redeployment and appraisal in a ballot for industrial action. The ballot got underway this week and is set to close at noon on 21 May.
