30 September 2011
Organisers of today's strike by staff working for BBC Cymru Wales have called it a success with output seriously disrupted.
The flagship Radio Wales show, Good Morning Wales, was not broadcast; instead listeners heard a repeat of arts programming.
A phone-in on Radio Wales and the Roy Noble show were also cancelled.
TV production also affected
In addition, planned shooting on Casualty, Dr Who and Pobol y Cum has all been suspended.
In Bangor only five people out of a total staff of approx 110 turned up for work this morning.
The strike is a response to the failure of the BBC to offer redeployment to four editors. BECTU is convinced that jobs can be identified in the reorganisation.
