The annual event provides a important opportunity for women in BECTU to come together to discuss key issues, to learn from each other and to receive briefings on issues of the day.

The event has been a launch pad for women in BECTU to further develop their skills as branch officials and to become more active in BECTU at a number of levels.
The women's conference is open to all women branch officials and to those who want to find out more about becoming active.
The 2009 conference will take place on Saturday 24 October at TUC Congress House, London, and will be organised around the theme Why Women?
