Move on Up at the Radio Festival is the first of a new series of diversity events organised by BECTU. Move on Up, the award-winning diversity programme run in partnership with the BBC and other employers aims to help address the under-representation of black and minority ethnic employees in the creative sector. At the core of each event are 20 minute interviews between BME professionals and top executives.

Move on Up at the Radio Festival will take place at the Lowry Centre in Salford Quays on the afternoon of Wednesday 20 October.
Radio 1 DJ Trevor Nelson and director of BBC Audio and Music, Tim Davie, will open the event. Many other top commercial radio executives including Stuart Taylor, chief executive at GMG Radio, and Clive Dickens, chief operating officer of Absolute Radio will also attend.
With such a strong line-up, Move on Up at the Radio Festival promises to be an unmissable opportunity for black and minority ethnic broadcasting professionals.
Applications must be submitted by Wednesday 15 September. Download the brochure (which includes an application form which can be returned by post). Alternatively complete the emailable application form.
