Recommended rates of pay for freelances working in the props department are available to download from this page.

The rates are effective from 1 April 2011 and the document also provides guidance on working hours and overtime.

Public liability insurance cover, up to £5m per claim, is FREE for new freelance joiners up to the April following their joining date; after that an annual top up fee applies. (Just £23 for 2011/12). Join BECTU  More on benefits and services.
