TOSCA

The TOSCA Project aims to promote the learning of basic and key skills through the training of Union Learning Representatives.

BECTU Union Learning Representatives are trained on TUC courses to give frontline advice and guidance to potential learners.

A bit like Health and Safety Reps but making the workplace smarter rather than safer!

The BECTU TOSCA (Training Opportunities for Skills, Confidence and Achievement) Project and Learning Reps are supported by TUC Learning Services who give practical help with workplace learning developments. They also work with providers to develop tailor made courses for workers and employers.

The TOSCA Project is a Union Learning Fund project funded by the Learning and Skills Council - the government body responsible for funding and planning education and training for 16+ learners in England.
